The collector cards known as trading cards or collectible cards are traditionally associated with sports and the most famous ones are baseball cards. There are also cartoons or comic book characters printed on collector cards but that does not limit the use of collector cards. The only available and standard size for collector cards is 2.5×3.5. Singers, artists, teachers and even local stand up comedians can be the subject to print on collector cards.
The available paper stocks are same as business cards and if you wish to have a non-standard business card to make an impression you can use this product for your business card.
The available paper stocks are:
- 14pt Gloss Coated Cover with UV Coating (C2S)
- 14pt Premium Uncoated Cover
- 16pt Dull Cover with matte Finish (no UV coating option available for 16pt cards)
- Recycled 100lb Dull Cover with Matte Finish.
When you are preparing your artwork please make sure
- The size of the artwork is right (ex: 2.5”x3.5”)
- It includes bleed (ex: 2.6”x3.6”)
- It is designed in CMYK mode
- It has 300-350 dpi resolution
- It is in right format: TIF, TIFF, JPG, EPS, PNG, AI, PSD, and PDF
The required bleed for collector cards is 0.05” each side or 0.1” to each dimension. For example a 2.5″ x 3.5″ collector cards with the full bleed should be 2.6″ x 3.6″.
You can download the right template of your product prior to design and set up your file from our template page.
The template will help you to have the right size, right resolution, the correct mode of color, enough bleed for cutting and the limits for folding (if applicable). Of course the template layer needs to be turned off or removed before the print ready artwork is generated.
For more information regarding resolution and the instruction to set up the print ready file you can visit our “Preparing Files” page.
